This Refund Policy explains how payments, account balance top-ups, refunds, chargebacks, payment reversals, and related billing matters are handled by FINAP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17235755, with its registered office at Suite 7039, 128 Aldersgate Street, Barbican, London, EC1A 4AE, United Kingdom (“FINAP”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms of Use and should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other applicable legal documents published by FINAP.
By adding funds to your FINAP account balance, purchasing API usage, or using any FINAP service, you agree to this Refund Policy.
1. SERVICE MODEL
FINAP provides software, API infrastructure, data intelligence, validation, and technology services.
Our services include, but are not limited to:
1. BIN API;
2. WEB Intelligence API;
3. IBAN Validation API;
4. FX Rates API;
5. SDKs and API integration tools;

7. related software, data, validation, and technical services.
FINAP operates a prepaid usage-based model. Customers add funds to their account balance and use that balance to consume FINAP services.
2. FREE MONTHLY REQUESTS
FINAP provides each eligible user with 100 free API requests per month.
These free requests are provided so that customers can test, evaluate, and verify the functionality, response format, technical performance, and suitability of FINAP services before adding funds to their account balance.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the services, documentation, API responses, pricing, technical limitations, and suitability before making any payment.
3. ACCOUNT BALANCE
Payments made by customers are credited to the customer’s FINAP account balance after successful receipt and confirmation of funds.
The account balance is a prepaid service balance and may only be used for consuming FINAP services.
The account balance:
1. is not a bank account;
2. is not an electronic money account;
3. is not a payment account;
4. does not represent stored value issued by FINAP;
5. does not earn interest;
6. cannot be withdrawn as fiat currency;
7. cannot be withdrawn as cryptocurrency;
8. cannot be exchanged for cash or any financial instrument;
9. is not transferable unless expressly approved by FINAP;
10. may only be used for services available within the FINAP platform.
FINAP does not provide banking, payment, electronic money, money transmission, cryptocurrency exchange, custody, or financial services.
Funds added to a customer balance represent prepayment for software, API, data intelligence, validation, and technology services only.
4. NO REFUND POLICY
All payments, top-ups, prepaid balances, API request packages, and service purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly approved by FINAP in writing.
Refunds are not provided because:
1. customers receive 100 free API requests per month to test and evaluate the services before payment;
2. payments are made for prepaid access to digital software and API services;
3. services may be consumed immediately after balance activation;
4. FINAP incurs infrastructure, data provider, payment processing, software, technical, and operational costs when making services available;
5. balances are intended exclusively for use within the FINAP platform;
6. FINAP does not sell physical goods that can be returned;
7. API usage, data access, and digital service consumption cannot be reversed once provided.
Adding funds to your FINAP account balance confirms your intention to purchase FINAP services and your acceptance that such funds are non-refundable.
5. NO WITHDRAWALS
Customers cannot withdraw unused account balance.
Unused balance cannot be:
1. withdrawn to a bank account;
2. withdrawn to a card;
3. withdrawn to a cryptocurrency wallet;
4. exchanged for cash;
5. transferred to another person or company without FINAP’s written approval;
6. converted into any financial instrument;
7. used outside the FINAP platform.
Balances may only be used for FINAP services.
6. SERVICE SUSPENSION DUE TO INSUFFICIENT BALANCE
Paid API usage is deducted automatically from the customer’s account balance based on actual service consumption.
If the customer’s balance is exhausted, insufficient, blocked, disputed, reversed, or otherwise unavailable, FINAP may suspend access to paid services until sufficient funds are added.
FINAP is not responsible for any loss, interruption, failed API request, failed integration, business delay, operational impact, or customer-side loss caused by insufficient account balance or suspended service access.
7. FAILED, DUPLICATE OR INCORRECT PAYMENTS
If a payment fails, is rejected, is duplicated, or appears to have been made incorrectly, the customer should contact FINAP support at: support@finap.uk
FINAP may review such cases and may, at its discretion, correct billing errors, reverse duplicate credits, adjust account balances, or assist the customer in identifying the issue.
A refund may be considered only where:
1. a duplicate payment was made in error;
2. a clear billing error occurred;
3. the payment was not credited due to a technical fault directly attributable to FINAP;
4. a refund is required by applicable law;
5. FINAP expressly approves a refund in writing.
FINAP reserves the right to request supporting evidence before reviewing any payment issue.
8. CHARGEBACKS, PAYMENT REVERSALS AND DISPUTES
Customers must not initiate chargebacks, payment reversals, unjustified disputes, or payment cancellation requests after purchasing FINAP services, except in cases of proven unauthorised payment, fraud, or clear billing error.
FINAP reserves the right to dispute and challenge any chargeback, reversal, payment dispute, or refund claim where the payment was made for legitimate prepaid access to FINAP services.
Chargebacks are not accepted as a valid method of cancelling purchased services because:
1. customers receive 100 free API requests per month before making payment;

4. FINAP does not sell physical goods that can be returned;
5. account balances are used only inside the FINAP platform;

If a customer initiates an unjustified chargeback or payment reversal, FINAP may:
1. suspend or terminate the customer’s account;
2. revoke API keys;
3. block access to the platform;
4. deduct the disputed amount from the account balance;
5. recover chargeback fees, payment processor fees, bank fees, administrative costs, and legal costs where permitted by law;
6. provide evidence to the payment provider, acquiring bank, card issuer, or relevant authority.
Such evidence may include account activity, payment records, API usage, acceptance of Terms, balance crediting, service access, IP logs, technical logs, invoices, and usage data.
FINAP reserves the right to refuse future service to customers who submit abusive, fraudulent, or unjustified chargebacks.
9. CARD PAYMENTS
Where card payments are accepted, they may be processed through licensed or authorised third-party payment providers, acquiring banks, card processors, or payment gateways.

10. SEPA BANK TRANSFERS
Where SEPA bank transfer is available, customers must include the correct payment reference, invoice number, account identifier, or other details provided by FINAP.
FINAP may be unable to credit payments received without sufficient identifying information.
SEPA transfers may take time to arrive depending on the sending bank, receiving bank, banking hours, payment scheme, compliance review, and other factors outside FINAP’s control.
FINAP may reject, return, or refuse a bank transfer where required for compliance, sanctions, AML, fraud prevention, operational, banking, or legal reasons.
11. CRYPTOCURRENCY PAYMENTS
Where cryptocurrency payments are accepted, they may be processed by third-party crypto payment processors or blockchain payment providers.

3. exchange rate fluctuations;
4. provider fees;
5. wallet screening;

Customers are responsible for maintaining accurate billing information and downloading or requesting invoices for their own accounting, tax, and business records.
FINAP may correct billing errors, adjust balances, reverse duplicate credits, or amend invoices where necessary to reflect accurate payment and service usage records.
14. FRAUD PREVENTION AND PAYMENT MONITORING
FINAP and its payment providers may monitor payments, account activity, IP addresses, payment methods, device information, customer details, and transaction patterns for fraud prevention, sanctions compliance, AML compliance, cybersecurity, and abuse prevention purposes.
FINAP may refuse, delay, review, suspend, or cancel a payment or account balance top-up where the payment appears suspicious, fraudulent, unauthorised, sanctioned, high-risk, or inconsistent with the customer’s account profile.
